yep well said pete.
toyota made the EFI for a 2T-GEU VERY simple, eg fuel only and running off a couple of sensors (mainly AFM and thermo). EFI on a 2TG feels like driving a 'magna' compared to a the untamed feel of carbies on a 2TG (you never know when they are gunna stop bogging down and kick in).
Aftermarket computers will definately give you more power, but they are costly, and chances are you will have to upgrade the TPS and add a MAP sensor, maybe oxygen sensor and possibly upgrade the throttle body, aswell as injectors etc.
I have a slightly worked 2TG (#222head; not the stock 2TGEU) ATM, when i had efi on it I knew the engine had way more power, and tried little tricks to suck more fuel out of the EFI but carbies undoubtively gave me more power. saying that i'm thinking of changing back to EFI now because it's like a 'thrash limiter' for me
I guess if you've already got half the gear then it ain't worth selling up for carbies, but don't be disappointed with EFI on your rebuilt 2TGEU, unless you go aftermarket.
goodluck, hope it works out for ya in the end.
