From memory the smaller pipe on it was the signal line for the factory blowoff valve. So yeah just block the spigot on the inlet manifold. BTW i would always suggest removing your watch when working on cars for 2 reasons:
1. You will scratch crap out of it.
2. It is a constant reminder of how much time you are wasting on the thing!
