your mechanic doesn't know what he's talking about with relation to the speed sensor.

Get an E series mechanical sender, use your original dash, do the 30c mod to the factory tacho drive so it runs off the GZE ignitor, connect the GZE ECU's speed sensor input to the 4 pulse per revolution on the back of your AE93 dash cluster.

Mr Revhead from twincam.org can source you a mechanical sender, an MR2 E51 sender will also work.

Or you could just slap in an Apexi RSM for a temporary fix to give you a speedo display from the original elec sender while you source a mechanical sender. Dont hack up your SX dash.

The RSM will get rid of the 180km speed cut, but it doesn't really matter because the GZE will not get up to 180 down the main straight of QR or Darlington Park, or down the track at Willowbank.
