Locally-delivered ones are much better for resale value if that means anything to you. A friend of mine has a 97 model, and despite the lack of turbo it goes very well indeed. Being a mid-engined car their handling characteristics are a bit different to what most people are used to, so they often get unfairly labelled as having ordinary handling. The fact is, in the right hands they will run rings around just about anything in their class.
