I just got my car back from MV, and I went for a more comprehensive kit - big oil cooler, slightly higher stall speed, and shift kit. I went to test the car and the following is obvious: 1) no more luxury shift - the gears thud as they change (disconcerting at part throttle) 2) moderate to high throttle = chirping of tyres as it changes up 3) less smooth feeding in of torque = possible loss of traction when going round corners = possible issues in wet 4) no more "burping" of the engine with upshifting 5) dramatic improvement in 0-100 times Before: (stalled up) 5.62sec 0-100 After: (not stalled up) 5.6sec (stalled up) 5.19sec 6) massive traction issues if you overcook the launch The car is even less of a "sport" car as it is even less predictable if you are going to punt it round a circuit due to the dramas you have if it upshifts mid corner. However it is much more a "drag" car. If you think you want to keep your Soarer as a luxury cruiser, the loss of shift "quality" may annoy you, but I think there are different rates you can uprate line pressure.
