Ive to look into this yet.
Pickin up a blacktop with a spun bearing in a week or two as part payment for a job Wink

Even if the toothed wheel has the same num of teeth
the actual magnets that pickup/generate a signal may not output the same signal as a 20v for the ECU to interpret?

The (dis)similarity of the signals would be known to Aftermarket ECU owners Im sure. Someone on Club4AG designed a Digital signal converter to allow the 20v pickup signal to work with a GZE DLI igniter negating the need to cut the bulkhead. so I think the signals are different Sad
