It all depends on how you define better. The AW11 is a far more involving and enjoyable driving experience that the SW20. It's a better handler and a lot lighter than the SW20. The SW20 was designed to be somewhat more "soft" in all of the chassis dynamics, no I'm not talking springs and shocks but the actual dynamic responses of the chassis.
Having said that I'd have no problem what so ever having a 1MZ powered SW20 for a cruiser. It would be a very relaxed yet still enjoyable way to cover large amounts of ground.
Ther is at least one supercharged 1MZ AW11 out there and the VZ powered AW11 is planned to be turbo. I know there are at least a few supercharged 1MZ powered SW20's as well.
