fwiw, on my mums AE82 4AC (yes i know different motor) it would randmoly cut out in hot weather.. sometimes it would start again straight away, sometimes not... and sometimes not after sitting for a while if it was very hot..
anyway, it turned out to be the ignitor module... it starts to fail when it's hot, and the prob gets worse and worse.. we swapped for new ignitor and all was good.
try swapping your ignitor for a known good one and see if it makes any difference?
