Brake pads Mon, 28 October 2002 07:36 Go to previous message
Hi all. I'm looking at changing my brake pads pretty soon but I'd like to go fo something a little different.
At the moment I'm using Bendix metal king plus (ra28 with two spot calipers and vented disks) but I don't like the way they work when cold (which is most of the time for my use), they tend not to bite much and then too much - locking up the wheel. I think they're a little hard on my rotor too. I'd like something that works better when cold, with less wear on the rotor (I don't mind replacing the pads more often), fade's not really an issue as they don't get too much hard use for long periods and the vented disks keep things from getting too hot.
Does anyone have any brands/types they would recommend I check out? Cheers, Chris.
