ok guys question for yas

if the thermostat is faulty and stuck open will that affect the way the engine oil performs in a car

heres what happened , had faulty thermo stuck open car took ages to warm up (ie never fully warmed up )in that time ive tried to get the right kind of oil for my car so kept changing from different brands to fix a harsh cold start problem (this was in melbourne winter)

now i have 20w running in the car and am thinking maybe the oil expriment would have been wrong due to the faulty thermo

anyone shed some light on this ???

cheers
