Mon, 29 November 2004 00:25 huge increase in efficientcy..is that an advantage? think about it..your ic is sitting atop a really friggen hot engine..and the only air it gets is from a 2" if that high scoope..there is not much design so the air can actually flow through the cooler..just hit the top of it..using the FMIC on an ae92 has quite a significant gain..especially if its a good custom core..i have a 400x250x60 front mounted on the ae86 and it works a treat..response is fabulous....use 2" piping.. and a core similar toi that size..tube and fin..custom one..not a cut down factory type..this is where ppl go wrong..i have the stock pullys on mine and with the ice/water spray on a cold 2am morning i see about 10.5 psi at the manifold.. cold air is better than hot air at nearly everything!
