Hey man the 5K has hydraulic lifters and the 3K and 4K's have solid lifters, pull off the rocker cover and have a look. If you have a 5K with a 3K head then the motor will have solid lifters and a custom made cam.
As for lowering try and get lowering blocks for the rear and some custom spring for the front Give Industrial Springs a call. They are in the white pages.
As for this mate with the Hemi, ask him if you can drive for a once around the block with him as the passenger or not at all. There is no point waisting a perfectly good life for 2 minutes of fum, 3 hours of pain and eternity of death.
