that switch turns on your driving lights if your high beams are already on. You can bypass the "high beams must be on" part of that.

Does it have to be in 'highbeam' for the driving lights to come on?
Is this how Aust Delivered cars are wired?
With my XX, and its yellow fog lights, the switch works when the parkers are on. Doesnt have to be highbeam or even normal lights.
Must be a JDM thing
Don't forget your car is JDM, CrUZsida, all Japanese Domestic cars require foglights. Here in Australia we are lucky not to be suffering from too much fog. Thus we have been fitted with (high light) driving lights.
