Thu, 02 December 2004 13:25 Wilbo, No. To explain it a little more, it was done when a diffcentre was being changed in the RA23. Essentially, the pinion nut was simply undone a turn and rdone back to the same position (could tell by the marks). It howled like a banshee within anbout 500m and got worse until we changed the whole centre over. The guy that I get to do my diffs (and did the one in my Improved Production RX2) gets solid collars machined up to eliminate the need for the crush doovers, but theses have to be measured and then machined for each diff.
