Depends what you mean by “hard”. Modify diff cradle (extensive), modify tail shaft coupling, shorten and re-spline axles. A lot of work went into it and it wasn’t a simple drive-in drive out. The cradle came out about 3 times for modification and the axles about the same. Joe did much of the work himself and was fortunate to have the assistance of people ‘in-the-know’. I would estimate a drive-in drive-out conversion would cost in the order of $1000-$1500 (excluding purchase of diff). Saying all that though, I’m sure Joe wouldn’t mind talking to anyone who is looking at doing this conversion.
