18rg 2.2l stroker????

if done some searching but cant pinpoint exactly what is needed to do this...ive read about using a 22re crank and pistons and another says just use the crank with 18rgu 9.7-1 pistons...what exactly is the best setup to use. is it worth it or should i just keep the standard 9.7-1 pistons, big cams, big valves and lightened flywheel??? keeping in mind i already have a turbo rg so i donot wanna go down that road...
