here is a couple,
1. My stepfather would steal soap from the toilets from his work and we would have to use it at home for showers, but wait, some sundays he would grate the soap for washing detergent.
2. Every time we went camping, they also would use a bright yellow urine bucket instead of walking to the toilet.
3. My grandmother convinced my mother that we needed to wear 'stack hats" in long travels from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, in the car. A last ditch attempt averted diaster and humiliation.
4. I had to have the same lame haircut for 18 years from the same hairdresser, he left due to an extra marital affair, that got ugly, (I knew there is a God)
5. For a family outing my stepdad anted to take the family out to the treatment waste plant, (serious1)
6. Mum would always play the piano for birthdays.
7. I get sent a 'happy fathers' day card from mum ( I am now married and have 2 children)????
8. For my 18th birthday I recieved a typwriter, my 21st I recieved an antique chair....
9. We could tell what day it was by what meal we were having..

Tony, you should make a movie or a mini series about your childhood, I reckon it would be hilarious!
