Fri, 01 November 2002 05:35 Yeah I heard Vic schools are a little different. Ours is like a lotto. All in and hope for the best. I have been offered 2 days per week at my school i completed my last prac at (in Byron Bay...oh yeas I could handle teaching there!) and 1-2 days in Lismore. But our uni is dead set hopeless and won't give us our teaching numbers so therefore no casual work. Apparently Armadale people get to teach all 4th term in their last year. Anotehr gripe I have about our uni (SCU if your wondering) is our placements have already been appointed but the uni haven't sent the Edu. Dept. our transcrips because they gave us exams in late November/ early December!! They are crazy. The government aren't the only people wanting us not to work! I know of a few people from different uni's the have found out...not ours. The uni was saying the other day they will have our exams marked and transcrips sent next year and we won't be finding out about positions till 1-2 weeks before school starts. VERY HELPFUL If there is anyone out there thinking of doing primary teaching... DO NOT COME TO SOUTHERN CROSS UNIVERSITY!! Thanks for the good lucks though Brad [Report message to a moderator]
