Hey, the carbies are making a chinking noise every time i put on the accelerator at a low speed. The engine is stock, but it has extractors, electric fuel pump, thermofan and a new sports exhaust, whether any of those play a part. the linkaging from the carbies to the accelerator is a home job and wires and stuff are all over the place. yes the fuel economy is terrible, im getting about 250-300 of a tank. The rest of the car is sweet, no rust clean interior, just needs some original carbies which i may have tracked down from the previous owner. if theyre not ill keep a look out for the ones you said, solexi or something. thankyou for you time and advice, its greatly appreciated.

cheers Aaron
