Whats needed is more driver education , MORE RESTRICTION ON POWER OF CARS OWNED BEFORE A CERTAIN AGE

who out there would disagree with me in saying that an average 18 yo kid could *truely* handle something akin to a nissan GTS , WRX , V8 commodore, modiefied for performance only after a few years of trundling with mum or dad beside them ?

Anyway thats my rant - have fun arguing my points

Not trying to bignote myself here - But I could've easily handled any of the cars you mentioned at 18. A handful of my mates (mostly farm-raised) could've handled them nicely too.

That said, I'd be a 75% proposition to be dead or seriously injured by now if I'd dropped straight into one of them at 18, not from lack of car control, but 'cause of seriously poor (or comlete lack of) judgement. I only got this far unscathed because I had the room and grip in-hand to find n escape route or stop when I fucked up.

Good judgement and sound decision making is what keeps EVERYONE OUT OF TROUBLE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Car control should only enter the equation if you're having a rip on a quiet road with manageable risks, or in the wet.
