JustenGT4 Forums Junkie Location: Canberra Registered: June 2003	Re: CT26 turbo Thu, 16 December 2004 02:56 Fattony, it's not boost you are after it's flow, so the increase in 3 psi isn't the issue, it's how much flow the T series turbo would make at 14psi.....if it's more than the twin CT12 at their max boost then it's worth the effort. As for whether a T28 will flow 200rwkw i've yet to see it. Put a T28 BB next to a GT2540 which is it's natural upgrade and you will see a huge size difference. These are both Garrett turbos and Garrett themselves only rate the GT2540 at a max of around 240rwkw (i have one on my 3SGTE and it's about right). A CT26 will get you close to 200rwkw but it's definitely pushing it. The beauty is they are easy to upgrade with larger comp wheels so if you want to stay with a toyota product then there's nothing wrong with a CT26. At the end of the day though, if you are going to go to all the trouble of ditch the twin setup you may as well do it properly and at least run a GT25 frame or an IHI RX6...something bigger than the factory offerings. If not you're better off just optimising what you have the best you can. [Report message to a moderator]
