You would be suprised what decent brake fluid (Motul RBF600) slotted discs (DBA, or if your feeling frisky and can get em Brembo) a decent set of pads (Bendix Ultimate, EBC Green stuff-red stuff ect) decent grippy tyres, and a proper susspension setup can actually do for your brake abilities. I feel that if your on a track your main concern would be longivity of the braking system to resist brake fade. Crappy pads, rotors and fluids are pretty much the main reason why brakes shit themselves. Pending on how hard you push the car will also be a factor on how effective the cars braking system is at disapating heat and how much of a area it has to share the heat with. Once this occurs its time for bigger rotors and a better caliper. But you would have to keep in mind how far your going to be pushing the car and thus it will determine wheather your std braking compenents are up to the task.
