My condolences to your friend, on his tragic depart of from this beautiful country we call Australia. I know what you mean, when you say, drive safer. Its just not worth it. These following points advertised by the RTA may just remind you to keep safe. Theres no such thing as safe speeing. Drink and drive, your a bloody idiot. Speed cameras used in this area. Signs like these put up by the RTA, try to warn you to SLOW DOWN. DONT SPEED. I nearly lost a dear friend of mine once as well, and i thought it appropiate to share it with you guys. I was doing a commercial when i used to work in the marketing department, and we were filming the commerical for the Wide Body Camry. The director told me to drive down the street while they filmer. They told me to drive at 100kmhr down the street, but the speed limit was on 60kmh back then. ALL OF A SUDDEN! a chicken walked out across the road. I swerved to avoid the chicken but it was too late! I ran over the chicken! Killed the Chicken! I promptly stopped the car, jumped out, and ran over the chicken...it was too late. I killed a chicken because i was peer pressured into driving at silly speeds in residental areas. I hope this story helps people to remember that although i only killed a chicken, it could have been prevented by driving safely. Thankyou for reading my story...
