Yeah, but i'm not looking to rebuild the whole motor or anything, i'm planning to trade my car ASAP, but it's not practical right at the moment (i only got the thing in march this year..) just a relativley quick easy solution that hopefully gives me 12 months of only minor drama motoring
I just need something that will get me say to brisbane and back without letting me down as I have little faith in this motor in its current state.
BTW the head was totally rebuilt march this year - valves were refaced, new stem seals, corrosion was welded up and the surface faced. The very fact that the head was repaired is incentive enough to replace it altogether, and the cost of a good recoed head + fitting (new gaskets etc) it might work out better in the long run to fit a whole new motor, but this is only my thinking-maybe i'm hoplessly wrong,?????
