Im on study break before uni exams so i know that if i touch the car i will get ZERO study achieved! so i dumped it at the mechanics and turns out you were both right in a sense. It had a similar noise when i first bought it, so they tightened the bolt on the pulley, so theres ed's one. But it is now making this noise again so Dave they are very much in agreeance with ur diagnosis. Hopefully the crank pulley isnt rooted otherwise that may cost a bit to source! ta again guys!
