Rust, bodgy rust repairs (look for evidence of respray in common rust areas), bodgy smash repairs, general signs of neglect. Unfortunately there are a lot of old Celicas out there that haven't been looked after properly, so it's not hard to buy a lemon if you're not careful. Sad

As far as the mechanicals go they're pretty much bullet-proof, but they are still old cars and things wear out over time. Still, if you're planning to upgrade (as I was when I bought my last Celica), this isn't such a big deal! Smile
