Hey !! I've got the same thing too !
Hopeing someone can help out now Smile Smile Smile
------
I've recently added a '87 Celica to my garage and well it needs abit of love, (well ALOT of love)

As you can see I'm a loong way from getting this baby on the road but I believe I could do it within the next few months if I could get the right advice.

well currently this is where I'm up to; the car came without a gearbox which was an auto so I bought a man box with the clutch kit etc etc etc..
I started to assemble it but have come across a few problems, mainly in
which order to install the components???

1. I've got the cables for the clutch attached to the gearbox and I believe it runs under the intake manifold of the 3sge running up to ______ ? where ?
2. Do I have to change anything electronically to do the conversion ? I do have the manual loom but I'm sure the auto ECU will work fine with the manual in place, it seems to be the norm for almost any brand of car EFI car.
3. Do rear gearbox mounts actually just rest on the mount point on the body or is this a leftover from the auto ? I couldn't find any bolting points there ? I'm assuming you sit that one in place then bolt the other gearbox mount down unless I'm way of the target there.
4. The drive arms, do I connect them as teh gearbox is being attached to the engine or is there enough room to attached them after it's been mounted ?

Basically what guidance I seek is in what order do I put the box together in order to get it on without doubling up on work.

I'll supply pics of the parts if I'm confusing anyone, but I intend to write a howto for this just so people don't get hindered with the issues I'm having.

Here are some (simple ones) I've written before:

How to changeover 1jz-gte turbo's from a jzz30 '94 soarer <--- this was my steel wheel conversion

How to install a tacho on a 4g '03 mirage

Plus a few other little ones that i cannot find.

But back to the questions above, I hope someone can help out.

Here's some pics just to show how much love is needed (after vandals defaced it).
