If you want/need 300 plus Kw Atw then by all means go the 2JZ. There are a growing number of 1jz's with 300 or near to it that are comfortable daily drivers. But how will you get traction?

This is the problem. Just ask Manny.

Most conversions to the 2JZ find it easiest to high flow a pair of CT20a's and run them in paralell, not sequential, to avoid wiring changes. Then its just bolt up and play.
Apparently the 2JZ is not quite as revvy as the 1JZ so expect a different feel, but more torque down low!
