A friend is changing the clutch on his car and he has 2 questions.
1) How do you access the starter motor electrical connections under the exhaust manifold so they can be disconnected? The room around there is extremely tight.
2) Is it necessary for the drivers' side driveshaft to be removed as well as the passenger side?
Thanks in advance
1. From memory I had to unbolt the starter motor and basically catch it when it dropped before I could access the wires to disconnect it. Alternatively, you can remove the exhaust manifold.
2. If the gearbox is coming out of the car the I would assume so. There may be a way around this but I can't picture it atm..
