syncro Regular Location: ireland Registered: October 2004	Re: KE11 Coversion Tue, 28 December 2004 08:37 if you can get your hands on a complete kp61 starlet front suspension and steering assembly you would get rack and pinion steering, an antiroll bar and you would loose that nasty transverse leaf spring. i fitted these parts to my ke35 last year when i was living in ireland, im in sydney now and i have a ke11 myself but the starlet parts are not available here the most difficult part was making the starlet crossmember fit the ke35 chassis rails and making a holder for the bearing on the end of the starlet steering column to fit the ke35 bulkhead, i used the lower half of the starlet column with the knuckle and the upper half of the ke35 column they just fit together at the collapsable sliding section. the starlet is roughly the same wheelbase and front track as the ke35 so thats why i chose those parts, i had a complete ae86 front suspension and steering on it before that and it never handled properly. if you could measure between the strut tops and the front track, wheelbase etc of both a ke11 and a ke35 to see how similar they are you might have an idea if these parts will work. good luck with the conversion [Report message to a moderator]
