Wed, 29 December 2004 01:11 the big port cams with some other work done to the motor, definitly is a good idea..i would also recommend using a 4AGE throttle body, and dremel the down pipe out a touch to make it fit perfectly..the cams more than anything change the way the engine behaves, the big port cams seem to make it more willing to rev it tits off, where as the small port ones give it a nice creamy bottom end.. (there isn't that much difference, the difference also could be that now the head has got heaps of port work on it) you should be able to tell just by looking at them..the bigport ones you want have a nice round lobe (hence different duration), and the small port ones you should be replacing in the ZE have a sharper lobe, if you rub you thumb over it you can really tell the difference.. **crude, but it saves you getting ripped off if you don't think there the right ones..just compare them to your smallport ones** [Report message to a moderator]
