If the LSD acts like a open center when decelerating, then its a 1-way. If it tends to lock up when both decelerating, and accelerating, then its a 2-way. Most brands are avaliable as either 1, 2, or 1.5-way.
I assume the TruTrac is a clutch plate LSD similar in design to the TRD and Cusco and KAAZ ones, but they do seam to cost alot more so maybe they are made better.
Occationaly, I have the chance to buy a new or second hand TruTrac LSD for AE86 from Japan, but they do cost a bit. I got a secondhand TRD one for myself. It works well, but does clunk around a bit at low speeds cornering.
If the cone springs have enough pre-load, even a 1-way LSD should give a little LSD action when decelerating, but not sure how much it would make a difference.
