The names in no way convey a level of knowledge. If they are interpretted this way then so be it but I think if a person takes information as fact because the person saying it is a "forum junky" then they will have problems no matter what.
The names are there so that our members can get an indication of their contribution to the comunity. This doesn't mean that they have all been good contributions just that they have made a contribution rather than just lurking and adding nothing to the forum.
I'm not saying lurking is bad, I'd much rather have someone lurk than post useless, or worse incorrect information. I'm just answering your question.
