Did your pc recently freeze/hang while burning something? then you had to reset?. Sometimes intermittant errors like to popup like this. It usually comes down to the drive (I used to get problems like this with an older cdrom unit I had). Go into Bios> select primary ide master and scroll through the options (autodetect) then hit enter on autodetect so it'll showup the drive. Then do the same for secondary and whatever else your running. Save and restart, if it doesnt fix the problem try flicking them off autodetect and set them manually, if this fails go back to autodetect. If that doesnt fix the problem. check cabling.
