As for the A80 vs A85, I gather it's pretty much an asthetic difference (swivel LCD vs built in LCD), with perhaps a few extra tweakable features on the A85, though don't quote me on that (can you do all the funky picture distortive effects, adjust the flash power, etc on the A80?).

Gotcha - so the A85 has a fixed LCD screen? (pretty sure I remember seeing the A80 had a swivel screen).
From what I looked at, pretty much most of the processing on the A80 is much the same as on my old G2, it's just a much smaller body (that's the main reason it appealed to me - I'll already know how to use the thing hehhe).
I would assume most of the modes & settings would be the same between the A80 & 85. Let me see if I can find a comparison online somewhere..
