Car Offsets and PCDs...

Hi I was just wondering about all this...the PCD is basically like the size of the bolt or whatever it's call...? and the offset is how far the centre of the wheel is away from where it's mounted or something yeah...? Like...I don't mind too much of the definitions...but I was just wondering...I've heard the offset doesn't mind too much...like...if my car's wheels have a +38 offset it's not ALWAYS gonna be +38 right? but I was wondering about the PCD because mine's a 5 x 100...I was just wondering if there was ANY way I could get wheels that were 5 x 114 on? Because I've found some nice wheels that were off a 1999 Honda Prelude...and they're like...just nice...coz I'm not wantin to spend heaps on wheels right now...so yeah...is there any way? Or should I just not bother? THanks.
