Registered: May 2002	Re: !HELP! crossed snaped bolt in block Wed, 05 January 2005 05:37 If your stuck needing to drill it I would go straight past the Ezy out option and just drill it to within a mm of it's life and tapping it to the correct size (carbon steel tap about $10) most engine mount-to-block holes that I have seen are M8 x 1.25mm OR buying the HeliCoil (about $50-60) set. I recommend this BECAUSE it sounds like the bolt is well galled in there and if you mate tries the reverse technique with the Ezy out (ie hit's it with the hammer) then you problems will be compunded beyond belief) [Report message to a moderator]
