I especially like the subtle way you spaced out the grille to give the Turbo enough clearance. My only concern with the angle of the engine is what the engineer would think of it? Yes, I am well aware that the clubby has a few inches more space, hence the reason they are often used from conversions of this type. The other option commonly used in the UK is to stretch the front panels on a roundnose. A lot of work! I have not done a conversion on a Mini myself, but have done quite a bit of research into the options. I'm probably going with a Suzuki GTi engine, as it fits into a roundnose without too much hassle. But of course - less power than the Starlet GT donk. The Starlet engine weighs just 1kg more than a 1275 so the hydro should be fine anyway. If it's sitting a bit low it probably just needs a pump up - around $50 from any reputable Mini specialist.
