jc80 Occasional Poster Location: W.A Registered: October 2004	Sticky lifters i think Sun, 09 January 2005 05:48 My G/f has a 92 mazda 626 V6 2.5L i recently serviced it and switched fom unsinthetic to semi-sin oil, ever since have had a tapping noise very bad on start up but it settles as the car warms but doesnt go away completely, am thinky sticky lifter or valve tapping, how can i test this without taking the engine apart, the tapping is coming from right near the cam pully and is a bugger to get to, this engine is a bitch to work on, is there any way, short of running some DEX 3 in the engine to stop or source this tapping???
