At the diagnosis terminal I put the multimeter on the OX and then the negative to the shock tower. At idle it was staying around the 0.3volt mark. Got my brother to hold revs at 2k and was fluctuating between about 0.2 and 0.8 volts. Strange thing though. I disconnected the 02 sensor yet I did nt get a fault code! I shorted the correct terminals and the check engine just keeeps flashing when turn key to ignition. Any ideas. Although could the 02 sensor still be bung as its whole scale of values it gives may be wrong. When the car was idling just after start up..car was almost warmed up..the )2 sensor readout was smack bang on 0.3 volts - not fluctuating. That is saying the mixture is too lean right! Once reving though it started to fluctuate - does this sound wierd?? I guess the )2 sensor has to take time to warm up aswell. PS The car idles about the same without the O2 connected.
