I have had heaps of alloy stuff chromed. No problems. The cam cover, fuel rails, plenum, throttlebody etc etc on my old blown 2TGEU, and also all the manifolds, fuel rails, alternator etc etc on my new 13BT. Works fine! I spose you just have to go to the right chromer! Hell of alot easier to keep clean than just polishing.
