Hi this may help.

The 3K-B motor ran a 10:1 CR and ran on leaded which had an octane rating of approximately 96. This motor ran 10 degress BTC.
I would assume, that cause you are running optimax which is about 98 octane and 10.5:1 CR that you can use this as well, if not a little bit more without pinking (also know as pinging) but as a safety procaution I would use 10 degress BTC as a start.


Make sure that you have put the dizzy back in the right spot. I would definately run a timing light over it.
