Bullshit
synchos are in the gearbox, they help in making the gear changes easier so that the driver doesn't have to double clutch like an old crash box.

Have a look on the intake manifold there sholud be emblem with the letters "TVIS" thats for the bluetop and early redtop. Its point less using it on the 100kW motor. You can also tell by the colouring of the lettering. But in some cases the cam covers might have been swapped.
Check engine numbers, hey. The body plate should tell you if its a twinky or not. But really the twinky is the sports model of the CS-X. Which is cloth trim, tacho, a/c and p/s the twinky also has rear disces and a strut brace which is bolted to the engine bay.
