Sun, 02 June 2002 00:27 I'd LOVE a 1JZGTE but buying parts from Toyota is not exactly something I would like doing a lot...coz they are EXPENSIVE!!! I bought these interior door handle clips coz 1 of mine got lost at the car audio store when they took my door trims off and it costed me $15. Anyway, I don't want anything fast fast, just quick enough so I can give it a squirt here and there without feeling ashamed. My current 1GGEU 'sounds' like it's going, but it's really going no where. So I feel embarrassed when I'm in a hurry and tromping it. Now, I gotta really choose between the 1GGTE and 7MGE, I'll be able to spend a fair bit modding up both engines. Over time I'd say a couple thousand ... up to maybe $4000 - $6000 or a lil more and then I'll stop once it gets to the point where u spend LOTS of money and get very minor performance gains. I'd like a turbo for cooler noises...could I get it with a 1GGTE? And Japspec, when u thrash ur car, or go as fast as u can, how does it go? You might say it's slow, but what sorta times and stuff? As I said, I'm more concerned about 0 - 100 times mostly and then from 80 - 140ks. I should have bought a car with turbo, but back then I was more concerned about insurance. Is it possible to get the launch power on the 1GGTE fixed up or get turbos to kick in quicker? [Updated on: Sun, 02 June 2002 00:40] [Report message to a moderator]
