fade-e Forums Junkie Location: Sydney Registered: June 2004	Re: new numberplate recognition tech in NSW Sat, 15 January 2005 23:26 on to of that just cause the owner of the car is unlicenced it doesnt mean that the person driving is! i recon there are too many variables that will make it not work rather than work... theres privacy issues, possbily system not up to date (what if i sold the car just 20min ago cause i am unlicenced, stolen car that has been found and im driving it home), no guarantee of driver at the time yeah im sure they will reimburse any fines/etc if you can prove to the contrary but i would be sueing for lost wages, time and the headchae for a failing system... it is not my responsibility to prove to the contrary of what they believe IM AGAINST IT!!! its like the saliva test they want to bring out. thats a load of crap... in any investigation you have to give explicit authority for them to take any DNA from you or a court order yet now they want to introduce random saliva testing WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
