Don't think vtec was released in Hondas till 1992 or something. The Honda is 1110 kg so that's a power to weight ratio of 10.47.

honda has had vtec for years but they only had it in their motor bikes to start with
i think the first vtec powered cars were about the year 1988 when they brought out the gen 2 style (wedge) shaped crx the trim level or SIR or wotever had them 1.6twincam 16v 118kws little screamers they were they still haul arse of most 4cyl cars today for half their price (u can get one imported from japan for about 9000 bucks cos there where not sold here)
