craig, no fear of a mix up im afriad... check your PM's, im just about to drop you a line about the head...
pete: yeah, you can do it, takes freaking FOREVER, and i probably dont recommend doing much more than a stage 1 port, ie clean up casting dags and smooth all the corners. once you start getting adventurous, and try to do an actual flow character change, youre heading off into no-mans-land as a first timer.
that said, for stock cams and mild engine work, a stage 1 port will make all the difference you want. more would be wasted.
im going to put up a HEAP of tech info on porting theory and technique, have a read when its up
