I have a Torsen LSD in my Soarer. Love it to bits. Can't compare it to a clutch type LSD cos I don't think I've ever driven one, but it sure beats the hell out of a single spinner.
As for the new CT12A replacements (I take it you are referring to Neil Griffith's hybrid turbos from ALSC), they are a fantastic replacement/upgrade turbo. Steel wheels, tested to 25psi (I only ran them at 17psi, and man were they good). Cost is around $2700 from memory. Might sound expensive, but it's cheaper than almost every other option you have when replacing 1J turbos.
