Mon, 17 January 2005 10:27 ah yes... compression. maybe custom made metal gasket would work to lower compresssion but is not the best and probably prone to blowing out and expensive i assume. the 4y crank fits with some modification but they dont say what has to be done. probably not a great deal. iv read most of that site, its awesome! yes and a 3t crank has a tight enough clearance as it is lol, so a 4y would have to have pins higher up or shorter conrods$$$, i wonnder what the 4y pistons are like hmmm or if any pistons would work. it seems the 4y crank stroke the 1.8L 3t and the later model 1.6L 2tg to 2150cc?? with no boring out is this correct? so 4y of 2150cc and overbore to 88.5 = 2300cc? well its recommended not to make the 2tg more than 2L capacity for strength, balance and smooth operation so maybe ill stick with my 2L hyrid then.
