valve clearance cold is 0.2mm intake, 0.3mm exhaust. hot maybe 0.18/0.25mm (thats what i use)?
the crank pulley has a timing mark on it, and that can't change since it is keyed to the crank. turn the crank pulley to TDC, then see if the valves that are 'on the rock' are at the same height. if not, the cam may be out.
otherwise, check your ignition timing.
use liquid paper to mark the timing mark.
not really.. a little richer is better for higher compression, but the stock carbs run rich usually anyway.
are you using a stock carby? stock exhaust manifold, stock cam?
